Winterflakes …

Eleven of us gathered this past weekend to salute winter. Since we didn’t meet in December, I wanted to create some kind of seasonal tile. With weather being a big issue the past couple weeks everywhere but San Diego, I decided upon snowflakes. Little did I know that the very next day, San Diego would receive record amounts of rain in one day!

For this class, I chose grey Zendalas with blue ink, blue and white chalk pencils, and graphite. For a little finishing touch, we added clear sparkle and white highlights with Sakura jelly roll pens. The patterns used were Syng, Brr, Afterglow, and Ahh.

The next class will be Sunday, February 18th at Icarus, featuring black tiles and white ink. January’s class was full, so reserve your place early if you’d like to join in. Contact me at tanglesbythesea@gmail.com to reserve.
