Hills of Summer…

Eight ladies gathered for the July Zentangle class at Icarus Creative Arts Studio. This month featured black, white, graphite and white chalk pencil on Apprentice tiles. The patterns used were Sprigerz/Brenda Campbell, Icantoo/Hanny Wallburger, Sunny/Michaela Wolf, Caviar/Lori Howe, Sandswirl/Karry Heun, Cat Fern/YuRu Chen, and Zentangle patterns – Meer, Knightsbridge, Printemps, and Tipple. The string resembled rolling hills filled with all of the above patterns. (Step-outs can be found on tangle patterns.com.)

Drawing Knightsbridge behind the Sprigerz and Cat Fern patterns presented a bit of a challenge with all the lines of the flowers and the grid of Knightsbridge in the same section.

A suggestion was given that color could be added. With so many patterns, there wasn’t enough time to add any color during class. I like them just the way they are! Really nice work by everyone!

Next up is August 16th at Icarus, from 1-3:00pm. Registration is open now so make your plans soon. Classes have been filling up again, space is limited.
