Weekly Challenge #163 … “Rixty”
This week’s challenge was to use the new pattern “Rixty”. This pattern took me a while to figure out – kept wanting to put points where they didn’t belong! After trying a few different step-outs provided on-line, I managed to come up with my version – as usual – with an underwater theme. I threw in a couple “Angelfish”, which I discovered I hadn’t been drawing totally the correct way. They looked good to me before, but now I like the improved version! I even tried a little shading …. but that is a whole new realm that I have barely entered into.

Great job on this week’s challenge. I like the undersea scenes approach. Sorry, but I will have to steal the idea and do some myself…..hehehe.

Nice underwater garden. I used sort of the same theme on one of mine. I love the soft tint of color on your tile. Were you using watercolor for that? Beautiful tile.

Thanks for such nice comments. I use watercolor pencils for my backgrounds. I like how soft the colors look. Not sure if I’m using them correctly, but I like it.

Your tile so matches your blog name. When I saw it my mind immediately began Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid. Nice organic aquatic tile.
