Under the Sea …

Six of us gathered this weekend at Icarus Creative Arts Studio to tangle an “Under the Sea Landscape”. Lots of credit goes to the ladies who learned seven new patterns and created the most beautiful tiles. These are among my very favorite from all the classes I’ve taught. I do like organic patterns and the fact that you can interpret them in different ways to create beautiful art. Every piece of these tiles are from a repetitive pattern!

I pre-colored the Phi tiles with blue and green watercolors to save on drying time. The tiles were drawn with Micron black PN pens, and shaded with graphite and white chalk pencils. The patterns used were Rixty, Coral Seeds, Popsicles, Eeric, Angel Fish, Konk, Indy-Rella, Printemps and Sampson. I love the results!
